📝✨ Exciting News for Malvern's Young Writers! 📚🌟
Several of Malvern’s most promising young writers recently had the incredible opportunity to attend a Writer’s Workshop with none other than Ayanna Gray, the New York Times best-selling author of the Beast of Prey series! 🎉 Thanks to a Humanities Arkansas REACH grant, this enriching experience was made possible.
During the workshop, students received invaluable advice and insights from Ms. Gray herself, who not only shared writing tips but also inspired them to pursue their dreams fearlessly. Thanks to the REACH grant, each student was gifted a copy of her book, along with essential writing tools like a notebook, pen, and bookmark.
Following her engaging presentation, students eagerly asked Ms. Gray questions about her writing journey, inspirations, and the exciting prospect of her books being adapted into movies. To top it off, Ms. Gray generously took the time to sign each student's copy of Beasts of Prey, leaving them with treasured mementos of the day.
Before Ms. Gray's presentation, students participated in various writing activities, including crafting 10 Word Scary Stories, brainstorming with Freytag’s Pyramid, and collaborating on Circle Stories. Hosted by the Hot Springs School District Gifted and Talented department at the Hot Springs Junior Academy library, students from Malvern, Hot Springs, and Fountain Lake school districts came together for this enriching experience.
Kudos to these talented young writers for their dedication and creativity! 🌟 Join us as we continue to nurture their passion for writing and support them in their literary endeavors. 📝✨

Our incredible MMS EAST students have teamed up with Cuddle Babies Rescue, a heartwarming 501c3 nonprofit, to make a real difference in the lives of our furry friends! 💕
These dedicated students have poured their hearts into creating a brand-new website (cuddlebabiesrescue.net) from scratch using HTML code, all to boost the digital presence of this amazing rescue. Their goal? To raise awareness and find loving foster homes and forever families for the sweet dogs and puppies they rescue. 🏡
These compassionate students also regularly visit the rescue to capture heart-melting pictures and videos of the adorable animals, keeping their social media platforms updated and full of love. 📸🐕
