They just donated $1,000 to the MES Clothes Closet — a place where our students can grab a fresh change of clothes whenever they need one. Whether it’s a spill, an accident, or just a rough day, this support makes a BIG difference for our kids. 🐆
Rotary has been giving to this cause for years, and their generosity continues to bless our Leopard family.
Please help us show our thanks to them in the comments! 🧡

Our Malvern High School Physical Science students have been hard at work building a strong foundation in science! Over the past three weeks, they have been learning and applying core scientific practices including lab safety, the scientific method, scientific notation, and metric conversions. 😁
This week, they put their knowledge into action through hands-on, station-based investigations—evaluating the best tools for measuring length, mass, volume, and temperature, and justifying their choices with evidence and reasoning.
These experiences are preparing our students to move from practicing science to truly thinking like scientists as they step into deeper studies of chemistry and physics. 🧪✨
📸 A few snapshots from today’s engaging class are attached below—thank you to Mrs. Carly Dassenko for sharing!

The Malvern School District is proud to welcome Mrs. Allie Pumphrey as the new Assistant Principal at Malvern Elementary School (MES)!
Mrs. Pumphrey brings 11 years of experience in education, having served at Poyen High School and Sheridan High School as a math teacher and coach before stepping into leadership. Originally from Star City, AR (Star City High School, Class of 2010), she now calls Prattsville home.
When asked what inspired her to join MSD, she shared:
“I felt like I was ready to impact this wonderful district on a broad level, from student achievement to promoting a positive school culture, through a leadership role. My number one priority has always been to see students succeed and I can’t wait to be a part of that at Malvern.”
She loves all things sports (especially cheering for the Kansas City Chiefs 🏈), and her favorite quote is:
“The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.”
We’re thrilled to have Mrs. Pumphrey join the leadership team alongside Principal Catherine Watson, and we know she will make a tremendous impact on our students and staff.
Please join us in giving her a warm Malvern welcome as we kick off a brand new school year — and as Kindergarten begins tomorrow, completing the first week of school for all of our #MalvernLeopards! 🐆🎉

We also had a very special moment — surprising Ms. Lori Loy, one of the pillars of our Special Education department, with a heartfelt yearbook dedication honoring her many years of dedicated service to Malvern School District.
Thank you to everyone who put this together! We had fun popping in, and we were happy to see so many smiling faces signing each other's yearbooks. :)

We want to take a moment at the beginning of this new school year to share with you all just a few people who are making our district so great. Before the sun comes up, our transportation crew is already hard at work making sure our Leopards get to school safely and on time. It would be impossible to place a value on the work our transportation team and bus drivers do for us!
Today, we stopped by the bus shop (right next to MES) to visit David Honeycutt, our Head Bus Mechanic — although “mechanic” hardly covers all the hats he wears! We also wanted to stop by and say hi to our new Transportation Secretary, Ashton Gregory, who has stepped into the role after Judith Keeney’s well-earned retirement last school year.
Of course, we couldn’t forget our bus drivers — the friendly faces that greet our students every morning and get them home safely each afternoon, but catching them all at once for a photo would be impossible! We wish we could share all their smiles in photos, but today we’ll settle for a big THANK YOU for everything they do.
The start of the school year can be hectic, but this small and mighty team keeps us moving and ensures our students start and end their day safely. We appreciate you more than words can say! We just felt like the least we could do at a time like this was to make a Facebook post to tell all of you about these people.
To our entire transportation team, we want to say THANK YOU! 🐆🧡
