Students from Malvern Elementary, Wilson Intermediate, Malvern Middle, and Malvern High School Beta Clubs attended the Beta Leadership Summit in Benton, AR this week!
Our Leopards took part in exciting competitions including All the World is a Stage, Project Proposal, Beta Blitz, and Collaboration Connection. We are also proud of our three students who interviewed for Leadership Ambassador:
• Brad Saling (Senior Division)
• Annelee Chancellor (Junior Division)
• Gabriela Andres (Elementary Division)
On another impressive note, every single school's club qualified for nationals in multiple competitions, and students also had the opportunity to hear from two inspiring keynote speakers who encouraged them to lead by example and serve others well.
We are very proud of our Beta students for ALWAYS representing Malvern with passion, pride, and excellence! 🧡🖤

Our 7th grade GT students spent Wednesday celebrating Arkansas Peace Week with a full day of hands-on, peace-centered activities. They joined other middle school students from Hot Springs to explore different conflict styles and how cooperation and competition can both play a role in problem-solving.
Some highlights of the day included:
🤝 A thumb wrestling challenge
🔄 A trading game with “happiness ratings”
☕ Decorating coffee sleeves for Coffee Records with uplifting peace messages (watch for them on your next visit!)
✍️ Getting started on entries for the Arkansas Peace Week contest
It was a fun-filled and thought-provoking day of learning and smiles! We are so proud of our students. They always represent us with passion, pride, and excellence. A little extra passion on this day! 🖤🧡

Fun Fact: While the average life expectancy of a written constitution is only 19 years, the U.S. Constitution has lasted for 238 years and counting — making it one of the most enduring governing documents in the world. ✒️📖
Here at Malvern, our students are learning about the Constitution and its lasting impact on our daily lives in the constitutional republic that makes our country what it is today.
Let’s take a moment today to reflect on the importance of this document and the values that unite us as Americans! 🗽

💻 Happy IT Professionals Day!
Today we want to give a HUGE thank you to our incredible IT team — Steve LaVergne, Network Administrator, and his IT Assistant, Cass Allen.
Together, they keep technology running smoothly for 1,700 students and more than 250 employees across five buildings: MES, WIS, MMS, MHS, and the Central Office. From troubleshooting devices to managing networks, their hard work ensures that teaching, learning, and daily operations never skip a beat.
We are grateful for everything they do behind the scenes to keep Leopard Family connected! 🖤🧡

Today, the Malvern Middle School library is buzzing with excitement as students take part in Book Tastings with our new librarian, Mr. Stony Evans! 🖤🧡
Here’s how it works:
🍽️ Students “sample” different books for a few minutes at a time.
📖 After trying two books in a genre, they move to another table to explore a new genre.
✨ It’s a creative way to help students discover new favorites and grow their passion for reading.
The turnout has been incredible, with so many students eagerly participating on their own — and it’s been a huge hit! 🎉
We love seeing our Leopards get excited about reading!

We love when our Leopard family shares pieces of Malvern history with us! Today’s Throwback Thursday comes all the way from Mr. Petrarca in Carmel, Indiana.
🖤 The first photo is a class picture from around 1933. Franklin Harold Overton, a Malvern student who later gave his life in Korea in 1952, is pictured in the second row, second from the right.
🧡 The second photo is a completion certificate from 1916 for Linnie Overton (Williams), who was born in 1910. This certificate marked the completion of her early schooling right here in Malvern.
We’re so grateful to the family of Mary Alice Petrarca (Overton) for sharing these incredible glimpses of Malvern’s past with us. These photos remind us of the generations of students who have walked the halls of our schools and carried forward the legacy of Passion, Pride, and Excellence.
Thank you for sharing, Mr. Petrarca!

Today, the Malvern School District pauses to remember and honor the lives lost on September 11, 2001. We pay tribute to the first responders, service members, and everyday heroes who showed courage and sacrifice on that day and in the years that followed.
May we never forget, and may we continue to teach our students the importance of unity, resilience, and service to others. 🖤🧡
